On 20th September NZ Blood invited the business community to visit the brand-new facility in Hamilton CBD.

It is a very impressive place and NZ Blood, WCC, Abbott and Cafe provided excellent hospitality for the guests.

We had good food, good coffee and very good chats in the morning. We were shown the facility and the hosts answered even the tricky questions firmly.

We learnt a lot about the system of blood giving and collection.

Even though the general numbers are low, Waikato is still in the lead in blood giving in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Women give more blood than men, and men give more plazma than women. You can learn the main reason for this from the friendly staff there:)

If you do not plan to give blood or plazma, this place is still worth visiting.

They can expect some blood and plazma from Torotoro for sure:)
